The Head of Independence Movement, MP Michel Moawad, wrote on his Twitter account: “The Prime Minister and ministers disavowed the Minister of Information’s remarks, but this is not enough.”

He added: “George Kardahi’s statement is rejected and he cannot justify his remarks about Saudi Arabia and the UAE with a false “care.” What is required for once from a failed government is to dismiss a minister who harms Lebanon’s relations and Arab interests instead of causing more diplomatic crises with Lebanon’s friends.”
