The Caretaker Minister of Agriculture Abbas Mortada, referred the file of exporting pomegranates to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, along with all the available information in the ministry, to the Central Inspection in order to investigate with the ministry’s concerned employees.

Mortada emphasized that “this step aims to ensure that the measures taken comply with the ministry’s laws and regulations.” He added that it also aims at taking the disciplinary measures if any of the employees was involved in the crime intentionally or by mistake or negligence.”
