The media office of the Free Patriotic Movement’s leader, MP Gebran Bassil, explicitly disputed the Israel Broadcasting Corporation website’s promotion of “meetings Bassil conducted with Israeli authorities on the matter of demarcating the maritime borders.”

According to the media office, “this dubious news comes in an Israeli setting that attempts to disrupt the ongoing discussions, and it also indicates a personal targeting of Bassil, in which the Israeli lying machine collaborates with domestic parties.
