Lebanese Forces (LF) MP Maged Edy Abillama has tested positive for COVID-19, the lawmaker wrote on Twitter late on Monday.
“Dear family, friends and beloved ones, I just received the result of my COVID-19 test and it is positive. I apologize to all those I met with in the last two days and I hope I haven’t caused any unintentional harm,” MP Abillama said.
“I pray that everyone would be safe and in good health and would be able to overcome these tough days.”
On April 2, LF leader Samir Geagea joined the list of Lebanese officials who have been infected with the coronavirus.
According to the party’s media department, Geagea first felt light symptoms following the Holy Week celebration, which was held at the party’s headquarters in Maarab, Lebanon.
His symptoms persisted for three consecutive days after which he and his wife, MP Sethrida Geagea, underwent PCR testing. He tested positive while she did not.
Geagea’s party said he is in good health, doing very well, and is beginning to recover from the symptoms.
