Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, described “the aggression against the United Arab Emirates as a heinous crime, which lies in a series of terrorist attacks that began years ago against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and some countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council,” considering it “a sinful criminal act against the UAE”.

He said: “Any attack against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the land of the Two Holy Mosques, or the United Arab Emirates or any country in the Gulf Cooperation Council, is an attack against all Arabs and Muslims.”

Derian added: “Dar Al-Fatwa has a firm stance on these criminal terrorist practices, which reject, denounce and condemn, because they target brotherly Arab countries that have always been a supporter of Lebanon and supportive of its people in all the difficult circumstances that the country has gone through.”
