New port for petroleum activities

Ali Hamiyah, Minister of Works in the caretaker government confirmed, “The completion of legal procedures and obtaining the approval of the State Shura Council to establish a new port dedicated to logistical services related to petroleum activities.”

At the port of Beirut, Hamieh said : “We announce the allocation of a land within the port of an area of ​​34,000 square meters exclusively for logistical services for petroleum activities,” adding “We will not interfere in Total’s internal procedures and our role is to provide conditions in Lebanon.”

He also pointed out that “companies must fulfill the conditions and apply to Total to deal with it”
