Head of Bakeries Owners’ Syndicate in Mount Lebanon, Antoine Seif, confirmed that “the loaf is available, but it may be insufficient today in the market, and the reason is due to the lack of wheat in the stores and the mills do not have sufficient stocks.”

He said via a television interview: “There is not enough flour to meet the markets, and we did not say that the bread is cut off. the reason is the flour is not sufficiently delivered, which led to the lack of bread in all areas, and work is underway to address this matter quickly.”

Seif revealed that “thousands of bundles of bread are smuggled into Syria, as well as flour, and the state must control this matter.”
