Minister of Health in the caretaker government, Firas Abyad, revealed that a new wave of Corona is sweeping Lebanon, as well as the countries of the world, and there is an increase in the number of cases in hospitals, stressing at the same time that the situation is still under control.

He said via an interview with “Voice of All Lebanon”: “We advise citizens to receive the vaccine, especially the fourth dose, and we also stress the issue of precautionary measures and personal protection.” He declared that “so far, there is no intention to re-close the country in light of the economic situation that Lebanon is going through.”

He also indicated that “there are 4 cases of monkeypox out of 20 suspected ones, and we are dealing with the matter in terms of tracking cases and conducting examinations, and an isolation unit has been established at Rafic Hariri Hospital, but there is no case that needs hospitalization so far.”
