No ceiling for the price of gas can

A member of the Syndicate of Station Owners, George Brax, attributed the reasons for the high oil price to boycotting the purchase of oil from Russia and preventing European ships from transporting Russian oil derivatives, which led to increased pressure on the markets, which will seek to find alternative sources of Russian oil.

He added in a radio interview: “There is no ceiling on the price of a can of gasoline, and our problem is to secure dollars.” He continued: “The Banque du Liban supports indirectly, as it secures mazut and gas, and their import has become free and in dollars. As for gasoline, it still secures the import dollar through an exchange platform.”

He pointed out that their fees on the gas canister are 16,000 pounds, noting that the stations continue to refuse to use bank cards.
