The Strong Republic Member, Georges Okais, confirmed that “political tensions overthrew the Supreme Council of the Catholic Monarchists”. “The Catholic community is suffering today, because of the internal competition in the  the Executive Body of the Supreme Council elections”, he said.

“The Melkite Catholic Patriarchate of Antioch, Youssef Absi, expressed his resentment towards the situation”, he added.

“We expect that the newly formed Committee aims to find a way out to preserve the dignity of everyone”, Okais concluded.
