The Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education issued a joint statement announcing that a “Pfizer marathon” will be organized to vaccinate students, teaching staff, and anyone who wishes to receive the vaccine (from the age of 21 years and above) on Saturday and Sunday January 8 and 9 from 8 am until 3 pm.
The marathon comes as a step to ensure a rapid process for vaccinating the educational sector and providing a safe school return.
The statement indicated that the vaccination campaign will be carried out in mobile clinics, and vaccination centers approved by the Ministry of Public Health, which have been equipped to receive students and members of the educational and administrative staff in public and private schools and secondary schools that are geographically close to them.
The Ministry of Education, with its central administration and educational districts, divided educational institutions among the vaccination centers participating in the marathon, on the one hand, and on the other hand, specified gathering points in some educational institutions far from these centers to receive mobile vaccination clinics.
During the marathon, the vaccine will be given according to the cases in its three doses, provided that the interval between the first and second doses is 21 (twenty-one) days, and the third dose is given five months after receiving the second dose.
It is worth remembering that:
Every person residing on Lebanese territory has the right to receive the vaccine.
If you are registered on the vaccination platform, you must bring the identification document used in the registration process.
– If you are not registered, you must bring any of the following identification documents: identity card, passport, individual record extract, a statement of residence from the municipality or any other identification document where the center will help you to register.
The personal data registered on the platform is kept securely and will only be used to organize the vaccination process.
