The media office of the caretaker prime minister, Najib Mikati, issued the following statement:
In its issue issued this morning, the “Anbaa news” newspaper reported what it called “words by the president” attributed to “government sources”, dealing with the government file and evaluating the previous experience of Prime Minister Saad Hariri in forming the government.
The words attributed to President Mikati are incorrect and fabricated, and we repeatedly mention what we have previously announced that any position of President Mikati is issued by him personally or exclusively by his media office, and requires clarification.
