Imad Al-Atrash, a Lebanese journalist for Sky News Arabia, reported on Wednesday news on Lebanon quoting Pope Francis: “How can I help you?” Pope Francis asked his Lebanese interlocutor two days ago at a meeting in the Vatican to discuss the head of the Catholic Church’s project for world peace. “How can I assist Lebanon? Tell me, I’m available at any moment and willing to do anything for Lebanon.”
“I am very sad that I cannot visit Lebanon yet, and I fear that I will not be able to visit this dear country,” he said, his voice shaking.
He was silent for a while, and his eyes sparkled with a glimmer of hope, and he addressed the Lebanese (there was only one Lebanese among the audience), firmly: “Elect a president and form a government, and after 24 hours you will find me among you in Beirut.”
