Port’s dissident victims’ families file first lawsuit against Bitar

Under pressure from from Hezbollah, Port’s dissident victims’ families who defected from the committee following up on the file of the victims of Beirut port explosion, began their mechanical steps to complete the war on the judicial investigator, Judge Tariq Bitar, by filing lawsuits demanding his removal from this file.

And as was expected, today one of the members of the so-called “Constituent Committee for the Association of Martyrs and Victims’ families of Beirut Port Explosion,” led by Ibrahim Hoteit, filed a lawsuit to suspend Bitar responded, the plaintiff justified this complaint by saying that Bitar “has become an obstacle to reaching the truth in the port explosion crime.”

The first president of the Court of Cassation (President of the Supreme Judicial Council), Judge Suhail Abboud, received this case, in preparation for referring it to one of the Courts of Cassation for consideration and decision-making.
