A member of the “Development and Liberation” bloc MP Ali Bazzi considered that “there are positive signs in approaching the demarcation file of the southern maritime borders and the country’s sovereign oil and gas rights, based on the framework agreement that he worked on for ten years and was accomplished by Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.”
Bazzi regretted what happened in the last cabinet session, as “some are still practicing the hobby of sabotaging the country and institutions.”
During a series of visits he held in Bint Jbeil region, he said, “parliamentary blocs and political parties will face the upcoming legislative and reform challenge, especially in the competition law and the prevention of monopolies.”
Bazzi emphasized “the position of the bloc and the Amal movement in rejecting taxes and fees on the poor and marginalized groups, by discussing the budget item by item as soon as it reaches the parliament, in accordance with constitutional principles.”
Bazzi stressed, “There are no reasons for not holding the parliamentary elections, and they will take place on time so that the Lebanese people can exercise their democratic right.”
