President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, met Energy Minister, Dr. Walid Fayyad, today at the Presidential Palace.

The President was briefed on the new minister’s work program, and the urgent measures to be taken to confront the energy and electricity crisis.

Former MP Kandil:

The President received former MP, Nasser Kandil, and discussed with him internal and regional affairs.

Congratulations from President Abbas:

President Aoun also received a congratulatory cable from his Palestinian counterpart, President Mahmoud Abbas, for forming the new government.

President Abbas wished the new government all the success, “In performing the lofty tasks entrusted to it”, and praised the wisdom of President Aoun in leading Lebanon and its people towards achieving all goals and aspirations.
