President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, this afternoon called Sheikh Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna, and congratulated him on his election by acclamation, Sheikh Akl of the Unitarian Druze sect.

President Aoun wished Sheikh Al-Muna success in his new national duties.

For his part, Sheikh Abi Al-Muna thanked President Aoun for his congratulations.
