President Aoun heads cabinet session at 3:00 PM, discusses bilateral relations with New Zealand’s ambassador

President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, will head a Cabinet session this afternoon at the Presidential Palace. The session will discuss an 18-item agenda, most notably the electricity plan.

Ambassador of New Zealand:

The President received the Ambassador of New Zealand, Greg Lewis, today at the Presidential Palace.

Bilateral relations between Lebanon and New Zealand, trade relations and methods of developing these relations were deliberated, in addition to the help which New Zealand can offer to aid Lebanon in current economic and political difficulties, and Corona pandemic.

Former Minister Shreim:

President Aoun met former Minister, Ghada Shreim, and discussed with her recent political developments.

Shreim stated that the meeting addressed the files of the Lebanese University and the need to expedite the resolution to restore the regularity of work. The situation of Tele Liban was also tackled.

MP Salim Aoun and the Family of late Adel Choueiry:

The President received MP, Salim Aoun, who was accompanying a delegation from the family of the late Director General of the Agriculture Ministry, Dr. Adel Yammine.

The delegation thanked President Aoun for his condolences on the death of Dr. Yammine, and granting him a medal of appreciation for his contributions in his administrative positions.

For his part, the President commended late Dr. Yammine, his morality and sincerity in his work and the posts which he had assumed in the service of Lebanon and the Lebanese administration.
