The member of the “Strong Republic” bloc, MP Cesar Al-Maalouf, pointed out that “the letter addressed by President Michel Aoun to the Parliament conforms to the constitution.”

Maalouf added on Facebook:

“As I apologized for not being able to attend today’s session in the Parliament, which was postponed to tomorrow, I will also apologize tomorrow, with all due respect to my colleagues and the Speaker of Parliament. I will not be attending the session because the priority lies in establishing an independent government of specialists that will save the country and stop the collapse of the remaining sectors. In these critical circumstances, there is no time for political squabble or distraction with the interpretation of the Lebanese Constitution.”
