In an issued statement by the General Directorate of Public Security this evening, it indicated that “some websites and social media are circulating a document issued by the Public Security General Directorate relating to information about preparations for tension escalation in the street, in conjunction with the deteriorating financial and economic situation.”

The General Directorate clarified that this document dates back to March 15, 2021, and is a document that was shared between the security apparatuses and the relevant authorities as “proactive information”, whereby some have used it as a “leaked document to create an atmosphere of tension and confusion among citizens.”
