“Rahi, economic authorities are still working together to come up with a rescue plan,” Chammas says

After meeting with Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Beshara Boutros Al-Rahi at the head of a delegation of economic authorities, the Secretary-General of Economic Organizations Nicolas Chammas stated that those in charge of constitutional institutions are denying the crisis with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is heavily reliant on the International Monetary Fund and the CEDRE Conference to extricate Lebanon, according to Chammas. He explained that talks between Patriarch Al-Rahi and economic authorities are still ongoing in order to come up with a rescue plan.

This morning, Patriarch Al-Rahi met with a group of economists.

The political situation in Lebanon is deteriorating, at a time when the authorities have failed to take concrete steps in response to Saudi Arabia’s actions against Lebanon, which resulted in a diplomatic, political, and economic crisis. Following the words of the Lebanese Minister of Information, George Kordahi, about the Yemen war and his support for the Houthis, the UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait followed the procedures.
