After meeting with Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Beshara Boutros Al-Rahi at the head of a delegation of economic authorities, the Secretary-General of Economic Organizations Nicolas Chammas stated that those in charge of constitutional institutions are denying the crisis with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is heavily reliant on the International Monetary Fund and the CEDRE Conference to extricate Lebanon, according to Chammas. He explained that talks between Patriarch Al-Rahi and economic authorities are still ongoing in order to come up with a rescue plan.
