MP Sami Gemayel led a Kataeb Party group to Dimane where they met with Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rahi.

Gemayel emphasized the significance of choosing a new president “capable of guiding Lebanon to a better position” in his statements made after the meeting.

“Our party is communicating with the opposition forces, and we ae trying to form a coordination framework at this critical stage,” he said.

“Contacts are underway with all the blocs, including the Lebanese Forces and the Progressive Socialist Party, in order to reach a unified position,” he added.
