Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros al-Rahi emphasized that “we have become a mockery for countries due to some politicians,” stressing that “no one has the right to play with the fate of the people, and no one has the right to destroy Lebanon.”

Patriarch al-Rahi revealed to a delegation from the Press Syndicate that the Vatican and France requested him to work internally with all components, stating, “We will speak with everyone, without exception, even with Hezbollah, and the movement will begin from today.”

The Patriarch also pointed out that “it is the duty of the Speaker of Parliament to call for a session two months before the end of the term, but we always distinguish ourselves by violating the constitution.”
