The British Embassy in Lebanon posted today, Saturday, on its “X” platform account: “The United Kingdom reiterates its call on UNIFIL to halt hostilities across the Blue Line and to renew commitment to implementing UN Security Council Resolution 1701.”

It further stated, “The calm observed yesterday, Friday, across the Blue Line provides an opportunity to refocus efforts on formulating a long-term peace solution.”

The UK echoes UNIFIL’s call for a cessation of hostilities across the Blue Line and for renewed commitment to implementing UN Security Council resolution 1701.
