The families of the of the August 4 explosion’s victims responded to Ibrahim Hoteit with a statement that reads as follows:
“The statement issued by Mr. Ibrahim Hteit regarding how the Lebanese people manage their private lives, media, and other matters does not reflect the stance of the majority of the families; rather, it represents the viewpoint and feelings of its author and publisher.
The demands of the majority of the families of the Beirut port explosion are limited to the support and solidarity of the Lebanese people, standing alongside them in their quest for truth and justice. Additionally, when the need arises to object to the performance of the obstructing authorities, this demand is justified.”
