In a statement, the Council of the Syndicate of Restaurant, Cafe, Nightclub, and Patisserie Owners in Lebanon stated that “the harsh circumstances, the rapid developments, the emergency conditions, the successive difficulties, and the crises existing in our country, prompt us to pray to God to be merciful to the conditions of the country and the people, to awaken sleeping consciences, and to remove the specter of war from us with all its details and scourges.”

”Everyone is aware that Lebanon is exclusively ours, he continued. Its ruin is our ruin, its misery is our misery, and its insolvency is our insolvency. Before it’s too late, those responsible must demonstrate enough accountability and patriotism because we can’t take it anymore. May God protect Lebanon.”
