Lebanese Southern border
A rocket was launched from Lebanese territory, specifically from the area of Bastra between Kfarshuba and Marjayoun in the south, towards the occupied Palestinian territories.
In response, the Israeli occupation army fired two artillery shells, targeting the Majide Plain.
This comes days after the Israeli occupation army deployed the Iron Dome system on the Lebanese border and in the Gaza Strip, according to Hebrew media reports.
The Israeli army radio clarified on Monday that this measure was taken in anticipation of rocket launches from both fronts, following the Israeli occupation’s targeting of the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.
The radio stated that “the security establishment in Israel is preparing for the possibility of a reaction from Palestinian factions in Gaza and Lebanon as a sign of solidarity with the Jenin refugee camp.”
