Member of the Parliament Chamel Roukoz commented on the Constitutional Council’s decision on his Twitter account saying: “The Constitutional Council’s failure to reach a decision over the appeal filed by the “Strong Lebanon” parliamentary bloc against the amendments to the electoral law, is fair for Lebanese, and consecrates equality between residents and expatriates.”

He added: “The most important thing remains in completing this entitlement on the dates specified by the authorities according to the constitution.”

Roukoz added in another tweet, “May would be more appropriate date to complete the logistical preparations! With the elections approaching, the challenge has become for the Lebanese people in making the right choices to rebuild a homeland that meets their ambitions!”
