The head of the Lebanese Forces Party, Samir Geagea, received on Saturday in Maarab, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Lebanon, Walid Al-Bukhari, in the presence of “Strong Republic” bloc deputy MP Melhem Riachy.
After the meeting, Al-Bukhari stated, “Lebanon is a founding member of the League of Arab States, and protecting its people and preserving its identity are inextricably linked to Arab national security and regional and international peace.”
“The Saudi-Iranian agreement confirms the two sides’ common desire to resolve differences through communication and dialogue and by peaceful means and diplomatic tools,” Al-Bukhari added.
Saudi ambassador mainly warned of the consequences of the presidential vacuum, and the necessity to hold presidential elections as soon as possible.
According to Maarab’s sources, “the kingdom’s positions towards Lebanon are firm and stable, confirming that there is no negative impact of the Saudi-Iranian settlement on Lebanon.”
