School year in danger again

The head of the Teachers Syndicate in private schools, Nehme Mahfoud, explained that “on Thursday, the teachers’ associations, the Teachers Syndicate, the Free Professions, and the General Labor Union in the Pharmacists Syndicate will meet to put pressure on the political system to elect a president for the republic and restore constitutional life.”

Mahfoud added in an interview via “Voice of Lebanon”: We are waiting for a meeting with the Minister of Education and the Prime Minister to discuss securing the minimum requirements for teachers, and if we do not take the promises this week, we will not be able to continue the school year.
