The General Coordinator of the Roman Catholic Patriarchate Schools Leon Kelzy announced that the tuition fees and salary raises that will be provided to the teachers have not been determined yet.
He explained that “the high operational costs in schools would increase the tuition fees by about 60%, and when calculating the salary raises that will be provided to the teachers this percentage will surge to 250 percent, which will exceed the parent’s financial capacity.”
He said during a television interview with Layal Alikhtyar on “Al-Hurra”: “Amid the deteriorating purchasing power, and in light of the crisis the cleverness is in joining efforts to overcome the crisis.”
Kelzy added that they will try to give teachers a raise as much as they can, and the indications so far show that schools are giving teachers a raise that ranges between 25% and 35%.”
