Sheikh Baha al-Hariri wrote on his Twitter page, saying: “Lebanon’s independence can only be completed by liberating the Lebanese people from a dependent and corrupt political class that has brought us to the abyss.”

He added: “I hope the pillars of the next independence will be complete, the state restores its sovereignty, people become liberated, and a legitimate weapon protects the people and borders.”

استقلال لبنان لا يُستكمل الا بتحرير الشعب اللبناني من طبقة سياسية مرتهنة وفاسدة اوصلتنا الى الحضيض، عسى أن يكون الاستقلال المُقبل مكتمل الأركان، دولة ذات سيادة، شعب محرر، وسلاح شرعي يحمي الشعب والحدود.
