On the first memorial of the assassination of writer Lokman Slim, Sheikh Bahaa Hariri wrote on his Twitter page: “On the first anniversary of the assassination of writer and political activist Lokman Slim, we demand truth and justice for a man who frightened the armed militia, and confronted it with his words and stances.’”

He added: “Mercy and safety For the soul of Slim and all the virtuous martyrs who fell on the altar of this nation in order to liberate it from the domination of corruption and guardianship.”
