An attempt to smuggle pistols and drugs across the border with Lebanon was foiled, according to Israeli Army spokesman Avichai Adrai, who also announced that an investigation was launched to reveal parties involved in the smuggling and whether it was carried out with the help of “Hezbollah”.
“Our forces thwarted a smuggling attempt on the border with Lebanon after they noticed a number of suspects yesterday evening and were able to foil two firearms and 21 boxes packed with drugs. Our forces are investigating into the parties involved in the operation, to reveal whether it was backed by the terrorist Hezbollah or any other party,” Adrai stated via Twitter.
