State Audit Bureau requires airlines to pay PCR revenues in fresh dollars

The Public Prosecutor at the Court of Audit, Judge Fawzi Khamis, completed his investigations into the file of approved airlines at Rafic Hariri Airport’s collection of the allowances for conducting PCR examinations for travelers in fresh US dollars, and transferring them to the account of the Ministry of Health and the Lebanese University by means of bank checks.

Judge Khamis asked the commissioned Director General of Civil Aviation, Engineer Fadi Al-Hiss, to circulate to all airlines and ground service companies operating at Rafic Hariri International Airport – Beirut, to transfer the amounts received in fresh dollars to the account of the Ministry of Health and the Lebanese University at the Banque du Liban, so that these companies do not enrich themselves illegally, in order to preserve public funds and in the interest of the public interest.
