A patrol from the State Security – Marjaayoun and Hasbaya office raided a gas station in Khiam and seized a quantity of gasoline in large barrels. The State Security office in coordination with the judiciary closed the gas station with red wax.
The fuel crisis in Lebanon is worsening day after another as the humiliated citizen stands in queues to fill up gasoline to go to work. Lebanon is going through several crisis, as citizens wake up daily on new economic, financial, and living hurdles.
The Lebanese pound has lost more than 90 percent of its purchasing value, and the caretaker Minister of Energy and Water, Raymond Ghajar, confirmed in the past days that “the quantities of gasoline, diesel fuel, and gas that were imported from the beginning of this year to date increased by ten percent compared to the same period in 2019, although economic activity was better.
