Syndicate of Workers in Governmental Hospitals warns, announces full strike

The Syndicate of Workers in Governmental Hospitals said in a statement “it was reported to us, by a leaked document, that we were not included in the decree related to financial social assistance estimated at 1.5 million Lebanese pounds minimum, as a result of devaluation and deteriorating national currency, which negatively affected the value of salaries.”

The Syndicate said that they will resort to a total strike because “our humanity forces us not to flog our children and families, and with this the authority has rewarded us after we strived to fight the situation amid an absence to main resources to defend ourselves, and many were martyred among us for the sake of the homeland.”

The syndicate appealed to all governmental hospital employees to strike, if the salary increase was not approved, and to halt work immediately without giving respite or even warning.
