Syrian traffickers accused of smuggling drugs in Lebanese fruits

President of the Syndicate of Farmers and Peasants in the Bekaa Valley, Ibrahim Tarchichi, revealed that the truck that was seized in Saudi Arabia was loaded with pomegranates, and said, “It is known that we do not have a large production of pomegranates to allow for export.”

In an interview with News Today, Tarchichi accused Syrian merchants of renting refrigerated containers in order to transport these goods and products. Tarchichi explained that in the event that these products are seized, the Lebanese company loses, otherwise, the profit will be for the Syrian merchant.
