Yesterday night, Foreign Minister Abdullah Bu Habib announced, after the polls were closed in Arab countries and Iran, that the percentage of expatriate voting reached about 59 percent, and 18225 voted, which is a large number for 10 countries.

He stated that “the largest voter turnout was in Syria with 84 percent, followed by Tehran with 74 percent, then Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman 66 percent, Jordan 60 percent, Saudi Arabia 49 percent, Baghdad 48 percent, Cairo 42 percent and Alexandria 58 percent.”

He added, “All the impurities that occurred were resolved immediately and nothing happened to stop the electoral process. We sealed the boxes with red wax and there is a GPS inside. If there is any impurity, it is able to detect it.”
