The French Embassy: An exceptional batch of medical aid arrived to Lebanon

In a statement, the French embassy announced that “a new and exceptional batch of medical aid arrived in Lebanon this week, in coordination with the Crisis and Support Center of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, within the framework of the direct support France provides to the Lebanese people in order to help them face the repercussions of the unjust social and economic crisis”.

The statement indicated that “the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the French Ministry of Health and Solidarity and the Tulip Association provided this donation of one million euros, and it includes 30 oxygen extraction devices, 25 respirators, 50,000 corona examinations, 200,000 masks, 8 bags filled with medicines, 5 of which are designated for medicine children, and a mobile health center that provides care for 500 seriously injured people. This equipment will be distributed to 3 government hospitals (Beirut, Tripoli and Tibnin) and to the Rosary Sisters Hospital, which will allow meeting the population’s urgent health needs, including facing the Corona pandemic, provided that the aid is distributed under the supervision of the French Embassy”.
