The Minister of Interior and Municipalities Bassam Mawlawi said that his first priority as Minister of Interior is the health, medical, and hospitalization of the members of Internal Security Forces, at a time when they are sent to fight crime, arrest a criminal, or protect properties and officials in the state.

Mawlawi said in a press briefing on Thursday that “the health of the Internal Security Forces is a red line that cannot be tolerated, and it is related to the prestige of the state and the sense of responsibility of every official.”

He added that “the assets of the state are not in its properties, but rather in its security forces, and none of the officials believe that there are any assets more important than human health.”

Mawlawi said: “The state must approve the hospitalization funds for the ISF as well as the prisoners.”
