The IMF will only pay Lebanon if reforms take place

Sources told LBCI that the loan that the World Bank may pay to Lebanon will be 4 billion dollars, noting that it is not a small amount at all, as once an agreement is reached between Lebanon and the IMF, International confidence in Lebanon will be restored, that is, it will open the way for aid from foreign countries.

The sources pointed out to the channel that “the agreement between Lebanon and the World Bank will constitute a guarantee for investors in the sectors and reform them, and return Lebanon to the global financial markets.”

She pointed out that “the money that Lebanon will receive are loans that will be refunded, and there is no money if reform is not done, and these are things that are required to return Lebanon to the right track.”
