Minister of Public Health Firas Abiad confirmed that the last marathon was successful and we witnessed a great turnout, especially from the educational sector.

Abiad said in a television interview: “The situation in hospitals is under control, and we are likely to witness stability in the number of Covid-19 infections this week.”

In this context, the Ministry of Public Health announced in its daily report yesterday, Monday, that 6,653 new Covid-19 infections were registered, raising the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 780,833, along with 15 deaths.”

In recent weeks, Lebanon has witnessed a significant increase in the number of people infected with corona, especially since the Ministry of Health announced on December 9 that the first two cases of the Omicron mutant were recorded in the country among travelers from Africa.
