The Establishment of the Water of Beirut and Mount Lebanon (EBML) called on those affected by the August 4th explosion who did not apply for fee exemptions to review the collection department in the corporation’s main building located in the Badaro area.
EBML sent an announcement to the real estate owners and the sections affected by the explosion in the port of Beirut, which said:
“EBML is in the process of implementing the provisions of Article 9 of Law No. 194 published in Official Gazette No. 41 dated 10/22/2020 related to exempting those affected by the Beirut Port blast from water, electricity and fixed phone fees for the year 2020, and the exemption from fees continues throughout the construction period. If the payment was made for the year 2020, the amount paid is considered a payment for the 2021 fees.”
The announcement added: “Those affected by the explosion who did not apply for an exemption, should review the collection department in the main building of the institution located in the Badaro area, Al-Shadrawi Building, 3rd floor, or the North Beirut Distribution Department located in the Ashrafieh area – St. Louis Street – opposite to the pumping station, provided with a copy of the rental contract, and a copy of the water receipt, in addition to a copy of the identity and the coded number that the committee formed under the chairmanship of a representative of the army command to conduct a deformation of the damages, in order to study their requests in preparation for taking the necessary decision.”
