The head of the land transport sector federations and unions in Lebanon, Bassam Tleiss, announced in a statement the following:

“In view of the failure to implement what was agreed upon between the Minister of Interior and Municipalities with the President of the General Labor Union regarding the mechanical inspection file, the federations and unions of the land transport sector in Lebanon will hold a meeting and press conference at twelve o’clock noon on Wednesday April 4th, 2021, at the General Labor Union headquarters in view of determining and announcing the date of implementation of the decision to close mechanical inspection centers, in conformity with the provisions of the law and the applicable regulations.”
