Tripoli hospital director warns against shortage of oxygen

Naser Adra, director of the Tripoli Governmental Hospital, warned on Saturday against “the shortage of oxygen supply, which is taking its toll on the companies’ delivery of oxygen to the hospital.”

The Tripoli Governmental Hospital has been deeply concerned, for five days, with the situation as it looks for ways to secure oxygen at the right time and in the necessary quantities, Adra said in a statement.

Adra pointed out that he contacted the caretaker Lebanese Minister of Public Health, Hamad Hassan, and asked him for help. He also urged the Central Bank to “subsidize this important substance in the treatment of COVID-19 patients,” noting that the shortage of oxygen has caused its price to double.
