The Lebanese Army Command – Orientation Directorate issued the following statement on Saturday:

“On 5/5/2021, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate in Macharii Al-Qaa area arrested the Syrians (A.S.) and (M.Z.) for promoting a counterfeit US dollar currency. They seized in their possession a counterfeit amount of $1,100 and about 6 kilograms of hashish.

The investigation began under the supervision of the competent judiciary.”
