UNIFIL Speaker Andrea Tenetti said in a statement on the launch of rockets from Lebanon towards Israel that ‘UNIFIL Head of Mission and Chief Commander, Major General Stefano Del Col, is in touch with both parties to urge both sides to make full use of restraint and to cooperate with UNIFIL, in order to prevent further escalation.’

“Our soldiers are on-site and are working jointly with the Lebanese Armed Forces” he affirmed.
