Union of Bakeries and Ovens Syndicates: We are incurring heavy burdens

The Union of Bakeries and Ovens Unions stressed in a statement today, “The dollar exchange rate has reached the threshold of twenty thousand pounds today, and the prices of all materials used in the bread industry are affected by an increase, as well as the cost of labor that has doubled and maintenance that is paid in dollars on the basis of the black market price.”

He pointed out that “what Minister Raoul Nehme has done since the beginning of the crisis aims to preserve the integrity of the supply situation by subsidizing the flour and securing subsidized wheat, and the continuation of the institutions of bakeries and bakeries to work to secure the loaf of citizens.”

He pointed out that “the situation affected all economic fundamentals and productive sectors, including bakeries and bakeries, which incur heavy burdens, are under dangerous conditions to secure bread at a reasonable cost.”
