General Joseph Aoun, Commander of the Armed Forces, received on Tuesday UN Secretary-General António Guterres, who was accompanied by a delegation, in his office in Yarzeh.

In view of the tough economic situation that the country is experiencing, Guterres applauded “the military institution’s performance in preserving security and stability.”

Guterres reiterated “the UN’s assistance for the Lebanese army, which is the backbone of Lebanon’s stability.”
